Information on Transform Boundaries
Transform Boundaries:
Transform Boundaries the places in which two plates slide past each other. Since plates have uneven surfaces, when they slide, there will be friction. That will cause big vibrations and make earthquakes. One famous fault or boundary is the San Andrea's fault of California. These faults may also cause minor volcanoes.
Information about mid-ocean ridge
MID-OCEAN RIDGE:
The Mid-Ocean Ridge is the longest mountain range in the world. It is located in the middle of the ocean. It is where the continental plates diverge, causing magma to flow out creating new land. This process is called sea floor spreading. Scientists found that out when they realized that the rock nearer to the ridge is newer.

Lithospheric Plate Movement
Lithospheric Plates move because of the hot mantle. It creates convection currents which push the plates around. They move at the rate of one centimeter per year! Well you can say that is slow or some might say it's fast.
Subducting Plates
Subducting plates, created from converging boundaries, create volcanoes. The plate above will push upward and the crack between these two plates makes magma push out, creating a volcano.

What do Plate Tectonics create?
Plate Tectonics create geological features. They create mountains, caves, volcanoes, and earthquakes.

Info about Plate Tectonics
Pangea:
Pangaea was discovered Alfred Wegner. He noticed how easily South America fits together with Africa. So he made a hypothesis: A long time ago, the continents used to be together, and after a few billions years, they seperated. He was also the one that first proposed the theory of Continental Drift. Of course, nobody belived him. However, scientists found the same fossils in different areas. Thus, they concluded, that a long time ago, the continents used to be together, just as Wegner said.
